Our flagship retail shop is located in New Mexico's largest city, Albuquerque, founded in 1706.
Nestled in the rural North Valley several miles from historic Old Town, our shop borders an area locally known as the 'bosque', the Spanish word for forest.
A ribbon of woodlands that lines the Rio Grande river, the bosque is dominated by stately cottonwood trees, coyote willows and New Mexico olives.
It is home to an amazing abundance of wildlife and provides valuable habitat for several endangered species.
The North Valley is a riparian mix of traditional hispanic communities, small working farms, horse properties and stately adobe homes.
On Rio Grande Boulevard, the main through fare, bikers, horses and cars share the road.
At the heart of the North Valley lies the Flying Star Plaza, a small group of independent businesses and home to Pfeifer Studio.
Our shop is recognized by locals as the place to go if you want to find something unique. We mix vintage, contemporary and ethnic styles in our showroom and carry unique one-of-a-finds, some of which are now available online.
Expect to find hand crafts from across the globe including embossed copper vessels from Rajasthan and wool felted rugs from Nepal, as well as contemporary designs such as post-modern pendant lamps and hand screened t-shirts.
We are especially know for our vintage textiles and contemporary jewelry collections.
Stop by soon to see us; have a meal at the Flying Star Cafe next door, grab a read at Albuquerque's best independent bookstore, Bookworks, and swing into Pfeifer Studio to discover our ever-changing selection.
